Week 1

      Welcome to a new year.  I am going to spend this year rediscovering myself.  I've been a stay at home mom for almost 14 years.  I have loved and still do love being a mom.  My kids are really amazing people.  They are funny and kind and actually fun to be with.  We have been on more adventures together then I can count and we've shared endless mundane moments.   But in all the mothering I do feel like I've lost a piece of me.  I've been in the practice of putting other people first for a really long time.  Letting their needs take priority.  But they are all old enough now that it's time.  It's time to find me again.  I think the part of me that has lost the most in my physical health.  I am overweight and my knees hurt.  I'm 40 and gaining control of my health is no longer about looking good but long term mobility and quality of life.  So this is where I'm going to lay it all out. ...
